“Old window” tables from India.
We offer a variety of tables, with the selection changing all the time. These are made from old window and doors, primarily from Rajahstan province. The table structure is newly made, but blends beautifully with the old windows and doors. Glass can be cut to fit each item. $485. Item # 9551 on left. $1,085. Item 9547 on right.

Each old India furniture item is one-of-a-kind and priced individually. Most items have been restored for both functional usages, as well as to restore the original integrity of the piece. $3,600. Item # 9424.

An old sword, a gun powder holder and jewelry cache, all from Tunisia are shown on top of an older Turkish Yastik rug. To the left is a lamp made from a Turkish coffee pot.

Printer’s cabinet from India.
This unusual furniture piece cannot only be an esthetic conversation piece, but can also provide storage for prints, drawings and other items that require storage. Most items have been restored for both functional usages, as well as to restore the original integrity of the piece. Probably late 19th/early 20th century. $2,875. Item # 9420.

This is from India. Referred to as a “pony bench” due to its carvings, this is probably early 20th century from the Rahjastan Province. The many uses are obvious and pillows are a cushion can easily be made to fit. $895.

This long, low furniture piece with drawers can serve as either a table and/or an interesting storage cabinet. Most items have been restored for both functional usages, as well as to restore the original integrity of the piece. Probably from the late 19th century.

One can find many interesting cabinets, both old and reproduction pieces, at J.M. SORKIN. The cabinet on the left from India is made of old doors and then built using old pieces of wood. The carved cedar wood screen is from Morocco and the glass doored cabinet next to it is from India. The variety of accessory items within the cabinets and sitting on the rug begin at $29.

These measure 2’ x 2 ‘ and are all hand made. The upholstered pieces are 19th and early 20th century Oriental rug fragments. We have many more to choose from and more being produced on a regular basis. All ottomans are one-of-a-kind. $595 - $695.

We carry a variety of Moroccan tables. All are handmade. This grouping comes in either red or blue as the primary color, though many other colors are used in each table. All are one-of-a-kind. $119.

“Campaign chests” from India.
Made during the British colonial period in India, these “campaign chests” are using cedar wood. Due to their large sizes, they can be great for actual storage of clothes or other items, but of course, make great pieces to be seen and enjoyed! All are one-of-a-kind and vary in size. $695-$1,295. This is merely an example. Our inventory constantly changes. Each item is unique!
